Technical
Direction
KMA is technically focused on two platforms and two vendors, the iSeries
400/ IBM and Windows/Microsoft. We intend to leverage our existing
skills to continue growth and to position ourselves to take increasing
advantage of prevalent and emerging technology trends (i.e. database
technology, multi-tier architecture, the Internet and e-business).
Objectives
The objectives of this program are:
As a demonstration to our
consultants, clients and prospects, we are committed to the ongoing
development and improvement of our consultants' skills and our services.
Strengthen our core technical
competencies and support our current technical direction.
Enhance our consulting skills
on our target platforms for the purpose of supporting the sales process
and to increase our “presence” while on assignment.
Enable an easier transition
of resources and/or focus by raising, broadening, and, to some degree,
“homogenizing” the base level of skills within our company.
This program
is not intended as a replacement or impediment to additional initiatives
to develop value-offerings, partnerships with package vendors, or
any other activity. It is a fundamental component for our personnel
and the company that will assist them.
Incentive
Program
The program is open to employees only. Please contact KMA for specifics
of our incentive program.
The steps of any path must
be completed in order to receive the financial incentive.
KMA will support these training
efforts primarily through the use of self-study materials, including
book purchases, CBT materials, study-time, etc. Formal classroom training
will be used sparingly, in instances where a train-the-trainer situation
can be constructed, or where client requirements dictate.
All training plans need
to be pre-approved by your manager. Circumstances may alter requirements.
Programs are subject to change (with due consideration for those underway),
either by KMA, or by the vendors, with the intention of keeping the
targeted skills as relevant and current as possible.
